The introduction to olive oil tasting, recognizing positive and negative attributes of the oils, is often combined with the desire to know more about it.

The course, which includes some hours and several days - in relation to the covered topics, uses a simple language yet precise and scientific and it is a useful tool which helps the consumer to improve and refine his/her own knowledge of the product, learning to better appreciate the quality.

The instructive course is also the first step for those who, as they are interested in the topic, decide to start the activity of Professional Tasters, taking part progressively to the several technical and refresher courses that ONAOO organizes during the year.

The duration of the course depends on the development of every single topic and the number of oil samples being tasted.

HISTORY AND TRADITION: The Mediterranean olive heritage, a millennial tradition.

FAT TYPOLOGIES: The extra virgin olive oil, how to make a good quality product .

SENSORY ANALYSIS: Tasting and understanding the extra virgin olive oil quality

OIL IN COOKING: Cooked and raw foods

DURATION AND COSTS

- 3 hours with one trainer € 700 (+ room and board costs)

- 6 hours with one trainer € 1.200 (+ room and board costs)

- 9 hours with a trainer € 1.800 (+ room and board costs)

- 12 hours with two trainers € 2.200 (+ room and board costs)

The duration of the course depends on the development of every single topic and the number of oil samples being tasted. The programme may be integrated depending on the needs of the participants.
