CERTIFIED TASTING SESSIONS
ASPIRING OLIVE OIL TASTER
Besides the physiological fitness to perform the tasting, acquired during the 1st level course, it is necessary to obtain another Certificate, issued by a Panel Leader, certifying the attendance to twenty certified tasting sessions, held in the way and times provided for by current legislation.
The requirement for registration to the 20 certified tasting sessions is to have obtained the Certificate of Physiological Suitability for Tasting after passing the selective trials at the end of a technical course. Once this process is completed, you can register for the National List of Technicians and Experts of virgin and extra virgin olive oils, held by the Italian Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry (Italian Ministry Decree of June 18, 2014).
Once the 20 sessions have been completed within the prescribed time and you have been included in the National List, you can be part of one of the panels recognized at ministerial level; panel is a team of minimum 8 and maximum 12 tasters.
Certified tasting sessions are compliant with the provisions of Ministerial Decree of 18 June 2014 (Art.4, Paragraph 2, Letter b): :
